So ... where am I at? How does this work? I ... am a little bit confused, but that's probably because their think tanks
are still developing the final version of a proper resonse; So, the vibes I'm getting are a little bit ... uhm ...
weird.
So ... You can see what the featured video here is about; And ... it's a bit ... cheap of me to do this. Like, beneath me
in a way. Like, there's nothing I can get out of this ... other than getting dragged down to this Level of BS. But to me
it's also a link to the past. I mean, it always weirds me out somewhat when popular people bring in random stuff from their
personal life because it usually is so far removed from my reality; I don't know what to do with it. But sometimes it's
really interesting.
Anyway. What this video is, is 1 hour of some dude "yapping" over Asmongold's take on some tweet; And I say yapping because
there is a somewhat apparent power imbalance between the two. The Birdman is like punching up ... And it almost seems like
... the more he does, the more ground he's losing. By the end he's exhausted himself producing a video that nobody is going
to see ... (hmm ...) ... to the tune of Asmongold declaring himself victorious in this back and forth.
And I suppose the main reason why this bugs me; Is because those impulses of mine ... that are currently sortof the topic
here ... I can't quite ... get there. So, if You're looking for a line I can draw ... this is it, kind of, I guess. Saying
... all things considered ... Asmongold is relatively insignificant. A part of me wants to be like: If You need extraction,
blink twice. I mean, there's the instance back when Musk was caught cheating in Videogames and Asmogold was basically ...
I'd say the circumstances forced him to be critical of Musk given that his channel is all in all a gaming channel - allegedly
- but ... he probably got some negative feedback from his Overlord(s) and that was that.
So, if I call him a Tool and You see his face, You can't but agree with me on this matter.
Anyway. Beyond that, he also isn't in a position where his words have weight, one way or another. So, there isn't much in
terms of negative consequences, spread of misinformation or such ... as he's like the second or third instance AFTER that.
Now ... don't get me wrong. The desire or urge to bring the matching boot to his face; It's certainly there. But it's also
not ... I mean, I can think of a few funny ways of roughing him up I suppose. But the literal worse he can ACTUALLY do ...
(so, going by things he actually said (that I know of)) is to finalize his statements as an opinion. So, statements like
"I don't want to bring Low IQ people into the country" ... that's leagues apart from the kind of stuff that Charlie Kirk was
saying, for instance. So, there's entirely different levels of rage/frustration/disbelief at play here.
And while statements like that are like all we can ever expect "here", it's also kind of pointless to give them any kind of
engagement; Except for the fact of having like a record we can look back to. I mean, sure. It's like "Info Wars" - like, who
can spit more words faster in an attempt to hijack minds to their own political agenda. But here's a thing: If You want to
know which side is right, like ... which side of the "I thought about it and came to "this conclusion"", try to start
thinking about it!
And between the Birdman and Asmongold You can see what trying to be a smartass on issues can look like. Sure, both are guilty
of some degree of "Failed Smartassery" ... but while the Birdman to me is very much in the ralms of a passing grade ... I feel
like we need to invent a grade below F to rate Asmongold's performance.
I mean, he should get bonus points for having a face to go with it - making it almost a presentable package - like, it's almost
as if Genetics played a joke on him. So ... good stuff ... I suppose.
I also have to say that the Somalis I came to know, personally, are like the exact opposite from what Asmongold alleges.
Like, seriously. If You were to ask me who in my mind are like the "high score immigrants" ... though I sure don't have a large
enough sample size to make a competently informed statement ... I'm thinking like ... Somalia, Eritrea ... maybe Ethiopia. Not
to draw a line. I mean ... the thing is that I could also add Marocco for instance; Because IRL I don't have much of a line to
draw anywhere ... in these regards. It's just that ... in terms of 'positive surprises' ... no. That's the wrong way around.
The revelation of where somewhere is from; In these cases; Would land on an already positive impression. I mean, like, there's
this black Muslim girl - and then she opens her mouth and it's the crispiest German I could have anticipated. And then she's
also socially engaged, like, teaching (sure she would know a thing or two about how to speak German ... right?) ... And I think
that it sucks that we're even having these conversations.
But yea, I suppose that when after TEN YEARS (!!1!ELEVEN!11!!) of being in a country they haven't built up comparable wealth to
the already established population of the region ... from nothing ... that's shocking! /s.
But I digress ...
But so is this whole thing.
I mean ... to have a proper discussion this matter ... this constellation of minds isn't really "The Intelligencia" we're looking
for. (Oh God ... they are so cringe!)
Th3Birdman I like.
But it's also like ... a slophole. And people like Th3Birdman are like parasites in a way. Which is to say that they don't
necessarily fill a niche but feed off of an already thriving ecosystem. But then, our immune system is also kind of parasitic.
So he's also more like a ... hehe ... "Black Mirror" ... .
I mean ... OK. Where does Judgment begin? Where does it end? And what is our individual responsibility to make sure that our
tolerances don't come back to bite us? And standing up, ready to get dirty, is kind of a prerequisite I believe.
And yea ... actually. I guess ... I see something. It's ... we can talk patterns and we can talk substance. Or we can talk:
Substance of Patterns and Patterns of Substance. Now, these conservatives types tend to LOVE Patterns ... spicing it up with
... usually nonsense facts. Is a claim I would have to substanciate if there weren't an hour long example posted above.
And yea, we're here at the heart of the culture war - sort of - as the talking points that those conservatives throw around
are basically identical to the type of stuff we heard during Gamergate. They feed off of this ... dare I say "mythological
impression" ... that we leftists/liberals believe that ... man and woman are absolutely identical in every conceivable way and
that once You disagree You're sexist at best and probably a misogynist anyway.
I mean, that was a talking point for a bit ... back when the whole "Gender as a Social Construct" narrative was still in its
infancy ... and they kind of never grew past that. So by now they don't even have the red-hair feminist video backdrop to
substanciate their opinions against. They just ... "imply". Like "it's common sense" ... "if You only think about it for
three seconds" (are You sure that 'thinking' is the right word there?). So, what is it here? It doesn't matter ... because
as the Birdman handily demonstrates ... there is no ambition for accuracy to be found there. And ... I'm not sure if this
is neccessary, but given that I'm supposed to consider a diversly growing audience ... I might be doing You a disservice by
surmising that everyone is familiar with this type of nonsense.
And yea, oh my, this reminds me:
This is perhaps THE single best Video to introduce a totally unfamiliar audience to E-sports. This Tournament has it AAAAALLL.
Miraculous Turnarounds, Smart Plays, Botched Plays, Close Victories, Totally not Close Victories ... and ... the one Moment You
think Terran is OP and then You think Protoss is OP and ... OK, Zerg really don't get to shine here.
And I guess I'm reminded of this because I was thinking of something to compare this video to.
And ... I always wanted to be a herO fan because I always enjoyed the ways he played; But then he's also like all over the place
which makes it hard to give him any kind of consistent spot for me. Classic on the other hand ... that's more like what I WANT
to see; But uhm ... I suppose that comes with issues of its own.
And ... I don't know. It's weird to see how Protoss are now ... so dominant; While - last time I played, it was pretty much Terran
and Zerg with the Protoss being like the Poor Kid asking "Buff me pwease". I mean, every Protoss victory looked like a fucking
Miracle. And if You have prominent and dominantly strong players going with Terran and Zerg and just showing how to pick Protoss
apart ... it kind of nourishes that inferiority "Gotta try Harder" complex; Where ... now I don't know how to feel about what I've
seen there. I know Scarlett thinks that Protoss is BS ... which I (highest I achieved was Gold) ... think is weird coming from a
Zerg player ... - but then, these folks are on a whole different Level, so ... what do I know? Well, anyway ...
I suppose it takes a while for people to get acclimated to the stuff on the screen, so, before things start to become comprehensive;
So, I'm not sure if there's a point here ...
But yea ... I suppose ... this is a good point to end this on ...
