About that - at least in Gnostic writings that's a thing. Does that mean we're His bitches?

Well, technically - at least He had the power to make it so.
But - the way it was presented to me, the issue is that we for instance - to explain complicated things or just things beyond our understanding - use images to convey an idea. In this instance we had to trust, that this is one of the more accurate ways of understanding how God feels about us. Or how He relates to us.

So, it's not literal, for once. He certainly does invite us - for once - to His home; Asking us to stay there - which does however require some Level of commitment, like a more intimate alignment with Him.
He is however also the Father, "behind" the Son, and the Holy Ghost. This is simply put a simple way to tell that the reality is a little bit more complex than just that. To say, that with complex things it's silly to just focus on one singular layer of the matter while woefully ignoring the rest.
