What You choose to believe

I sense ... a commotion. Enough to think that maybe I'm being heard. Being heard however ... seems to barely be enough. And ... it's ironic. When reading through the Gospels, there is rather often the notion that "this way it has been fulfilled" where such and such was written; But were it not for the record stating it, I suppose people wouldn't have noticed. I wouldn't have thought that there was something to notice. And like that ... if I died this weekend ... it might also seem like nothing has happened and yet all of the writing stands fulfilled.

And much like the Pharisees of old I "find You "standing there"" - demanding more and more, being perhaps dissatisfied with how this or that turned out, not however seeing that which unfolded before their very eyes.
Then You would tell me: "Yes, but Jesus did Miracles" - to which I ... need I say anything?

Yes, You call it weak. But one reason why You would do so, is that You didn't read what I wrote; That You didn't heed what I had to tell You; And it is a big mystery to me ... why it should prove to be so difficult.
Why are we here? Why is life the way it is? Why is God not a constant presence - one as imposing as the Sun - in our midst? Why is there sickness? Why is there war and conflict? Where are we as in constant peril; And if not from nature, then at the hands of one another?

Well, asking this way is of limited use. The why is not always as simple when certain things just happen to be. Other than of course to say: It is so because it is so. And here we have two elements. The natural one and the human one. But yet the end of it all is this: It is what it is - and what we can do, that which is within our power to change - that is where the journey begins.

But You are now not looking for ways, are You? You are looking for excuses. For shortcuts. You want salvation and redemption; But better without having to do anything Yourself but to follow the flock and say : "Yes Amen!".
And such they would rise, the false prophets, to say "Follow me! This way!" and You go "Yes Amen!" - and such the story goes. They would learn of the wisdoms You cherish and give You what You crave; Such that You can then stop and ask Your fellow human: "How is this false Prophecy? If these are false Prophets, then let me tell You ... I want to be damned!".

It might be an underestimation on my part, were I to write it all off as nonsensical, cheap and useless. That there were no value nor virtue. Heck, they might even copy me verbatim, give it a nice wrapping and You'd still follow them over me for much the same reasons.
Oh would they only be as the villains in the movies - wouldn't You say? Like the Ori perhaps, genocidal maniacs. Oh wait ... "but we have no reasonable way to link it to them!". What use do they have for violence? You already give them all that they ask! In the meantime I'm filled with dread and horror - and certainly much quicker to call for violence. The irony.
But so, in contention with me, where is then? Your sense of justice, Your virtue and righteousness? It is gone, for Your superiors are the ones who say what is and isn't just within this movement You subscribed to.

And so it is, no different to everything that came before.

And only a tiny sliver of the Light is left. Now it is here, soon it may vanish forever.

Within the confines of this world at least.

It is Your world after all. Isn't it? Of Your own making, of Your own desire. Except ... You wouldn't not dare make anything, or desire anything of Your own; And rather have those reigns be given to the next best who claims it.
And then You ask me or the other, where the injustices are in that.

Once all that You see is the honey dripped onto Your eyes - You might as well be blind.
If all You hear are the whispers of corruption - You might as well be deaf.

"All will be fine" they say. But how so? Will God send catastrophe and plague ... to wash away all evil from the lands? Is that what You believe? Is that where You put Your time and energy into? To just ... wait for it?

And where is it written? Is there not the parable of the ten virgins? Or do You deem it "too late", and so You put even more time and energy into not doing anything - while very much there is still time?

Or are You so weak that You can't even ask God for help?
Of course it would do You very little, if You weren't also willing to do Your part to it.

If I so cannot appeal to Your sense of justice, Your virtue, Your will to do the right thing - must I not assume that it doesn't exist? And if You so lack the eyes to see, and the ears to hear ... You are as blind and deaf ... and certainly have nothing but the hope that maybe You could be saved.

Saved from what?

The evil oppressor ... whom You nurture and nourish ... whom You lend strength and power? Or maybe from Yourself, who would do all and everything to maintain this sharade?

How can all be fine - if nobody does the work?

But yea. It all starts to make sense now. ... . There is this impass; This abyss; And I merely had the misfortune to be the one who kind of had to be token Prophet for this whole shitshow.

Well, at least I'm not starving to death ...
